Before getting a license in Alberta, the candidate must have the following:

One: Citizenship

Be a Canadian Citizen, have a Permanent Resident Card or Work Permit

Two: Language

English language fluency

Three: Age

Be at least 18 years of age.

Four: Education

Have a Canadian post-secondary school diploma or equivalent

Five: Training

Completed their educational curriculum through AREA
